Multi-use module based on magnetism
ATO thought that what creates inseparable synergy at times, despite its incompatibility, is magnetism. It seemed to be very interesting if objects, that superficially looks as if there is no relevance, make some sort of synergy through magnetism where like poles repel and opposite poles attract each other. ATO named it ‘Pals’, since the feature of magnet that sometimes pushes out and sometimes strongly attaches, looks alike with the relationship among people or friends. 'Pals' is a design that affixes modules with different shapes into some other meaningful objects such as flower vase, mirror, container, and so on. Due to its diverse displayable characteristic, fit for purpose, preference, and space, 'Pals' contains various possibilities in terms of its form and function.

Ato wanted to create a sort of evolved skin. Skins are made with high quality felt and velcro, and they can be easily attached on the wall, ceiling and any places with tiny velcro stickers. Ato has so far designed two types of shapes for the Skins. Inspired by brush-touches of the traditional eastern paintings, the eclipse type was similar to the way they draw soft blossoms or scales of fishes, and the polygon type was like drawings of the barks of trees or stones of mountains. The Skins look translucent just like brush-touches with much water in light colors such as pale white or pink, and look matte and distinct in dark colors such as dark violet or green.
With these various colors and shapes, Skins can be created in a lot of combinations as curtains, space dividers, a light cover, decorations on the wall, or even 3 dimensional objects as if drawing in the air.

The traag sound speaker was designed for feel a sound from physically visualized form. Inspired by the metal pipe organs, the difference between general speakers and this speaker is that it makes a unique sound form the special structure which is intended to create a new combination between metal pipes and speaker units. Traag sound speaker consists of the bottom support containing the base unit and lots of pipe that has middle unit and tweeter. We have done a lot of test to keep the balance of sound and the visual identity. 'Traag sound' means 'Slow sound' in Dutch.

Participated The food project The shape of taste at MART MUSEO DI ARTE MODERNA E CONTEMPO RANEADI TRENTO E ROVERETO / Rovereto, Italy
Fragile candy was a project about the connection between human's psychological conflict and food. Up until now, the food have been influenced by the human culture and history, but it might affects human's behavior at the moment. We were thinking about the new role of food in the contemporary period.

A speaker creates many relationships with the space through the sound. We are not able to see the form of sound, but we know they touches everything in where we are. However, the existing speakers are designed to be located toward specific directions.
They seem like they does not harmonize with the omnidirectional environments. The speakers with the omnidirectional technology are normally shaped for all directions, but we want it to be something more emotionally appropriate. We were inspired by the planets and spacecraft which are scattered on the cosmos, and we have figured out the solutions how to locate them into our daily life. The sphere-shaped speaker is covered with jerseys which have various colors. At a glance, it looks like a seat or cushion, thus it could be beside couch and bed. Also the metal charger was created as a cradle that can be installed on the floor and wall as well, and it was designed considering no-charging situation.
